Week 15 Colusa CA

Fun to talk to you :)

This week we had a lot going on!! 2 exchanges, interviews, and general conference! So it was pretty crazy, but pretty awesome!

On Tuesday and Wednesday I went to Gridley for an exchange! It was super awesome to go back. I got to see some of the members which was super fun! It's always fun to see them. and they can see how my Spanish has actually grown :) But the best was seeing Juan Arellano. What a guy... he's super funny and just makes everyone feel loved. But aside from seeing old friends, I made a new friend! Hermana Peraza! She is from Cancun Mexico and she is great. We had a real fun time! She helped me with my Spanish and I helped her with her English! It was weird though because I'm not used to being the one with the lesser Spanish ability. Very humbling though. But probably the highlight of the exchange was that I introduced Hermana Peraza to candy corn!! And she loves them :) Together we ate a whole bag and it was amazing. No one ever likes candy corn, so I was excited to have someone else join me in my excitement!

But then the next day we had another exchange! I was with an English sister in Colusa. We had a good time. She is a good, bold missionary! But we found 2 people during that exchange! It was awesome. Exchange miracles happen. We also got Jeffs. Classic.

We also had general conference which was awesome! We practically lived at the church. For the most part it was just me an my companion, so we watched in English. But on Sunday we had some Spanish members come, so we got to watch in Spanish! It was a good time. Clemente is a good friend. He's the same guy we played basketball with last week. But from general conference what I liked the most was from Elder Uchtdorf. He said something about filling our hearts with so much love that there is no room for anything else. I liked that cause if we fill our hearts with love so much good will happen!

And last of all, I HAD CHIC-FIL-A SAUCE!!!! Hermana Hayes and Rich sent me some (they are down in the Roseville area which is the closest chicfila) for my birthday, and oh MAN it was good!! It would be better with chicken, but it was dang good! oh man chicfila... what a place...

And one last story. So we are teaching someone named Chris. He is a very interesting guy... we love having lessons with him because he keeps things interesting. He keeps his commitments and reads the scriptures and has come to church, so we were pretty excited about him! But we found out the reason he keeps commitments is because he has a major crush on me... on Wednesday when I was in Gridley Hermana Orton went to visit him, and he was apparently very concerned that I had left and kept saying "I knew she was gonna break my heart!" and then he came to general conference and just kept looking at me the whole time... so we are gonna stop teaching him.... he's also like 60 so I'm not too sure what he is thinking. I guess I'm just too good for my own good!

But it was a good, busy week! Lot's of fun things and some good people found! I hope you have a great week though! I love to hear from you :)
