Hey mom!!
Another week here in Colusa!! Yesterday it cooled off to like 91 as the high. I am sad to say that when it got down to 84 at night i was a bit chilly and had to put on long pants to sleep... Cali is changing me...
But it was a good week! We did a lot of work with the members. We had members at a lesson everyday, which is not usual. So we were super excited to get them involved! Because with the members is really how things get moved along faster! Only sad part is that not a ton of people came to church... but I know that I gave it all and sometimes there are slower times. We are gonna keep working hard this next week!
I think it is cool how God is guiding us in every little part of our life. Things we don't really know why they happen are for a reason. For example, one night we had all our plans fall through, so we prayed about what to do and then visited a few people. But they were not interested... so we sat down for a bit to put things into area book, and then walked over someone we were trying to get in contact with for a long time! And we would not have had that opportunity if we didn't follow those little promptings we had along the way. In the moment we didn't know too much about what we were doing, but because we followed those little promptings, great things were able to happen!
But now for all the weird random/funny/exciting/cool things that happened this week!!
- I can now ride my bike with no hands!!
- We were doing service and a black cat flew out at me and freaked the bageebeez out of me
- I planted pink celery in someone's garden!
- We roasted marshmallows on our gas stove! It was way good. quick and easy smores. Probably a bad thing for me to learn to do...
- We had 3 different types of melon in our fridge this week!! A honeydew, cantaloupe, and a crunshaw! (idk how to spell the last one...)
- The Colusa jail called us and someone there wants to grow closer to Christ! So we might be going to jail if we get permission.
- I died in the taco bell bathroom. It might have been because of all the melon I ate this week... #worthit
But it was a fun week! lots of good people an lots of fun times and lots of good food! hopefully it keeps cooling off here.
