Heyo!!
Well this last week was transfers, and I am staying in Colusa with Hermana Orton! We've still got some stuff to get done here, and there is a lot of good coming up!
But one of those good things was the Juarez family! We had a lesson with the Juarez kids and their mom and someone in the ward, Brother Richins. It was SUCH a good lesson! The spirit was so strong and Brother Richins explained all about what baptism is and the importance of it and it was so good! She really seemed that her heart was softened. So we invited the to pray and know for themselves. So we are hoping they can have a date soon!!
Laura also came to church!! It was her first time there and she said she loved it! It was awesome to have her and Miros, her daughter, there. I just love that family so much. So many good families here that I love I guess :)
But at church I gave a talk, which is why we were able to invite a lot of people to come and they actually came! It was fun to have them there. It is awesome to watch people go to church and feel of the spirit. But I talked about forgiveness. I was able to learn more and share what I learned about how to recognize when we have been forgiven and how to find that forgiveness. I didn't even get nervous though which was good. But my mission has definitely taught me to speak in public. And i actually don't hate it!
And last thing, yesterday there was a worldwide broadcast for young adults with Elder Soares, one of the leaders in the church, and it was awesome! I learned a lot, but the biggest take away I got was the amazement at the language. Elder Soares is a native Portuguese speaker and also knows English. the other speaker spoke English as his first language and Spanish. So they were talking in all of those languages, and I was just amazed that I could understand it. All the Spanish and English, but also I could get the main idea from Portuguese. (Portuguese sounds like someone who speaks french is trying to speak Spanish) it was just insane though that there are so many people in the church that know so many different languages. It blows my mind.
It was a good week! This week the high is high 80s, so it's gonna be pretty nice out!! But I love to hear from you and I'll talk to you next week!
Love and miss you!
