Week 26 Chico/Orland CA

Hey Mom!!

And thank you for the package! It is very kind of you and I'm sure I will love it! I loved the other ones as well! The dress is fun and airy and it's a cute shirt. I wear it when I wear pants. and I also got your letter of the recipes and the money. Thank you so much. we actually ran out of money this past week, so that helped to pay for groceries :)

But as for plans for today, there is no small town parade I know about. we might go out to Paradise though and drive through cause we have some extra time. I've wanted to go up there for a bit anyway.

This week has definitely been a hard working one, but in a different way. So currently we are teaching like 4 solid people, and half of them are out of town. So we really need to find more people to teach. Especially because, well this area could be so much better. So Hermana Hayes are taking a good hard look at the people we are currently teaching and seeing if we can really help them. And so, with all this extra time we have, we have been doing a LOT of finding!! Honestly, I love finding. It is a lot of work physically cause you just go out walking and talking with literally everyone for 2 plus hours. But it's a good time! You get to meet a lot of interesting people!!

In Willows there is this interesting apartment complex. Like, you never know what's gonna come from there, but it is always interesting. One lady made us some cactus and it was gross, so we walked around the rest of the evening with cactus in out pockets... yum. We had some people just open the door and shut it again. We ran into some drunk people... That's always interesting. But we were able to actually find a really cool lady! She was super nice and has the CUTEST child and the TINIEST cat. So good things do come out of tracting!! And lots of good nights of sleep :)

One exciting thing though was that we had a third companion Friday evening! We met up with one of the laurels in one of the Chico wards and she went finding with us and to a lesson with us! It was super fun! It was sad though, because the first like 5 contact attempts fell through... so we just went out tracting and got to talk to a lot of people! So that was fun. She was also way good and was bold and talked to people too! It was a fun night! Fun to share something I love with others. She also spoke Spanish so that was fun! Overall a good night :)

We are also making a bigger push to live our mission language, meaning we need to speak more Spanish. We have been doing a lot better at that and it is great! I love spanish de verdad. es el idioma mejor! But it is taking a toll on my English... lots of things I say now doesn't make a whole ton of sense.... whoops. We were practice teaching the plan of salvation in English because we were teaching that lesson to someone, and I could not do it. I had to say things in Spanish to figure out how to say it in English. It was a very interesting time, haha! But we got there!

But honestly that was most of the week... just lots of tracting. my feet could use a good massage.

But anyways I hope you have a great week this week! Love you!!
