Week 25 Chico/Orland CA

Hey mom!!

I loveeed all the pictures!!! Pictures are fun :) and it sounds like a good time.

Well, THIS WEEK KRISTINA GOT BAPTIZED!!! It was super awesome!! A really good service, even though the kids got a little crazy towards the end... but hey, what are you gonna do? But Kristina was so happy and I love her so much!! After she received the gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday, she was just glowing. She could not stop smiling! It was so awesome!! She is my black sheep baptism. She is the first baptism I have had that wasn't a child, and she was found from just talking to her on the street. All my other baptisms have been from the members. So it is so cool to see that God puts people in the right place at the right time. There ARE people ready, willing, and excited to work towards baptism!! But yeah, that was the big news of the day!

Something sad that happened this week is that Tranquilino dropped his baptismal date... we were sad about that, but I still believe that he will get baptized! It just might take a little bit more time. But now we can really focus on what he needs. So we are still hopeful! But we have had a lot of recent success, so the work is starting to slow down a bit. We just need to find more people!! I know that there are people out there! So that just means we get to talk to a lot more people. all the people :)

The other exciting thing that happened this week was we had a language conference! So we went to Roseville for that. I think it is maybe the second tie I have actually been to Roseville on my mission, haha! It is weird down there... nothing like the small towns I am used to being in. It's weird to think people live like that... I'll just have to stick to my orchards and rice fields! But that was a good time! We got to learn how we can improve our language skills which was good! But also I got to see all my language buddies!! So all the hermanas were there, all the Spanish elders, and all the Hmong elders! It's weird to say, but language missionaries really are a different species of missionaries, haha! Maybe it is just the cultures we are embracing. Idk but I like it! But I got to see Hermana Carter for the first time in a it which was fun! It was a good conference though. Just a lot of driving... we had to wake up at 5:15 for that... but that's ok cause it was worth it!

This week it was also super cold and rainy and I was not a fan... I had to pull the sweaters back out. But hopefully it will warm up again. I guess I was complaining about the opposite last week... haha I can't win!

Sorry this is shorter. We have had a busy day. But I love you!! and I miss you! talk to you next week! :)
