Week 20 Chico/Orland CA

Hey mom!!

WOW what a week!!! I don't even know where to start!

I guess we'll start with Deanna's baptism!! It was so awesome!! The room was full of people who loved her and it was great!! And she was so happy and so cute! I was able to teach Deanna from the very beginning, so it was so cool to see the changes she made and how she grew to really be excited about this gospel!! It was super awesome, and she looked super cute! It made me so happy and was such a spiritual experience! And after the baptism we had a dinner with the Spanish group and it was so fun! I just love all the people there so much. Like I really do just feel right at home! I love it here and I love all the members and the people we are teaching, and MAN LIFE IS GOOD!! But that was probably the crowning moment of the week!

We also had some pretty great lessons this week. We are working with a lot of awesome people right now!! Again, I just love them all so much! Hermana Hayes has been able to meet some more of the people which is great! We had some killer lessons, and wow I love being a missionary and helping people come closer to Christ!!

We also had interviews with President Ward this week which was a good time! It is always fun to see him and talk with him! I will also see him this week, so that'll be exciting!

We also got to call the other hermanas, so I got to see Hermana Carter! She is doing well and it was fun to see her. Always fun to hear from all my homies. All the other sisters are doing well as well, as I am sure you were wondering.

Now for fun random things...

We bought 21 MANGOES for $15!! There was a guy at a fruit stand and so we bought some mangoes and invite him to learn more about Jesus Christ! The mangoes were WAY good.

Also, along the lines of food, we went to eat with a member yesterday, and they made taquitos and they were so good! But she just kept giving them to us... like I was fine after 3, but then she would just keep making them for us... and if we didn't eat them, she would think we didn't like them, so I ended up eating 6 taquitos.... We thought we were gonna explode. And then after that they pulled out a postre.... I was so full. But then they gave us some jello and dang I thought I was gonna die. But here I am. I made it!

I met another sister who plays basketball!! I was SO excited!! We are gonna have to play sometime. I have yet to find another sister who plays, so I was super hyped about that!

And one last thing, I LOVE HERMANA HAYES!! We are like the same person in different bodies. I the way we think and act, and wow she is just so awesome! I can't wait to spend the next bit with her! It's only been like 2 weeks with her, but I already feel like I know her really well!
