Hola Mama!!
Well it was an interesting week. We had an uplifting zone conference, some lady said I was going to Hell, and we indexed!
This week flew by and honestly it all kinda blurred together... it's been rainy again this past week, and it supposed to be rainy this coming week as well... but hey the water is good I guess. It's just not as fun, cause people aren't out and about as much, so we don't get to talk to as many people. But the work continues!!
So like I said, we had zone conference this weekend!! That was really good!! Usually there has been some kind of big change that happens there, but not this time! It was nice to have it be chill for once. So it really was just a time to enjoy the spirit, learn, and apply what we learned to our areas! For me the overarching theme was obedience. We need to be EXACTLY obedient to receive all the blessings that God has for us! And to be able to help all the people God has prepared for us. And it's not like we were ever super disobedient, but it is always a good reminder to recenter yourself.
We also had the zone breakout session which I lead with the other Zone Leaders, and that went really well! Better than last time! Probably cause we put more preparation into it. But I guess that shows the importance of planning... that is one thing I have really been learning. I am not a huge fan of tons of preparation and planning. I just like to go out and do it, but that is not how it gets done most effectively...
Other things that happened this week, was we found a cool lady named Kristina! Her foster parents were members, and she basically invited us in and asked us how she could get baptized! it was super awesome!! She is super kind and super sweet though! She has a cute little family, and we are excited to get to start working with her! We also had some pretty good lessons this week! I love all the people here and they all have so much great potential!!
So along with the getting told I was going to Hell... So we were at the park studying, and there were two older ladies, so we were like, let's go talk to them. So we went over and were gonna share a Scripture, but then the one lady said that we were teaching false, man-made doctrines, and for doing that we were going to Hell and we would take everyone down who listened to us. She told us to seriously pray and stop teaching and doing what we were doing. She was an interesting lady. Funny part was, all that we talked about was Jesus Christ. Sooooo, yeah... But we were polite and just let her be. Sometimes it's better to just leave people be...
And finally, we did some indexing this weekend! The stake is doing an indexing challenge, so we met up with the Wilow's ward and learned how to do it! It is super fun and super easy! It is basically just writing down important information, like names and dates, from documents to digitize the information. And after you finish a batch, the computer has confetti!! so what could be better?? But that was super fun! Too bad we can't do more of it though, cause we don't have a computer...
But that was the week! We are meeting up with the zone today to pay some wiffle ball and I am SO excited!! I have been wanting to play for some time now!! So that'll be hype. Also to play some basketball!! It's been a transfer since I've played... And speaking of transfers, those are happening next week! So I have no idea if I will stay or if I will leave.There are 3 new Spanish sisters coming in though, so I could also be training again which would be super fun! But I guess we'll see!
