Week 13 Chico/Orland CA

Hey Mom!!

It was super fun to talk to you last week! I'm gonna call Val later today, so I'm excited about that!

I feel like I get to the end of the week and I just forget everything that happened... It all just kinda blurs together after a bit...

First off, transfers were on Tuesday! So we were sad to see Sister Abbott leave... To say good bye I smashed a cupcake in her face, haha!  But we are happy to have Sister Cuzzins come! So while nothing with Hermana Carter and I changed, there still was some change that went on. We also got 1 other new missionary into the district, but I had already served around him so I kinda knew him already which was fun! But our district is mostly the same! It's a fun group. We got some really good Hawaiian BBQ together to get to know everyone, and man it was good... and it was a lot of food!! So I had Hawaiian BBQ for the next few days, and my tummy was happy!

We also had some good lessons this week! One was with Roldofo and Angelica, and wow I just love them so much. Like I LOVE to going over to their house. It's something I look forward to every week. Not only because they're awesome, but their desire to learn is sincere. They always have great questions, and they do what they need in order to help themselves find those answers! I really hope that I will be able to see them get baptized... they are just so awesome!!

Another lesson we had was with Deanna and Ana. Deanna is the daughter of Ana, and they are great too! Deanna loves learning and loves going to church! We just need to help her mom go to church... but the funny thing was that while we were having a lesson with Ana, another one of her kids, Alondra, ripped a big one. It was so funny! And then she just popped out from behind the couch and was like "excuse me!" It was funny. We all died for a bit.

We also had a lesson with a little boy named Matthew! He is super sweet! But has a lot of troubles focusing sometimes... but what do you expect from a 9 year old boy. And to add to it, his younger sister who is 8, and 2 of his cousins were at the lesson as well, 8 and 5. So as you can imagine, with a group of 4 kids all 9 and under, It was interesting... LOTS of energy. I feel like I had to play mom for a bit and was like "if you don't touch him, he won't touch you." But it all worked out in the end. And the kids all came to church! They were super excited to be there, so that was awesome!!

Last night we had a dinner with some of the Spanish members. It was our first all Spanish dinner in Chico! it was SO awesome!! We had sopes (soap-ayes) and it was so good!! they are basically pinch pot tortillas with beans, rice, and meat and I love them!! But even more, I love that family!! It is Blanca and Miguel, and they were baptized about a year ago, but they are so strong and willing to help! It is awesome!! and Blanca's sister is Ana, so we got to see them too!! So there were a lot of people there. But we're homies with all of them! At one point though, 3 of the kids were all talking to me at once, all different conversations... So I was like, I have no idea what's going on, but I'll just roll with it. But it was a good time! Y bueno para estar con mis familias de espanol!

But that's about all I can remember. It's supposed to rain a lot this week, so we're not looking forward to that... but I'll survive. I guess it's better than it being all ice!

But thanks for writing me! I love to hear about what's going on! Love you and miss you! Thanks for the support :)
