Week 12 Chico/Orland CA

It was fun to talk to you all!! Love you tons!! :)

Well it was a lot better of a week! It was also the week before transfers!! We found out about them yesterday morning, and Hermana Carter and I are staying in Chico! I am excited about that! I just love the people here that we are working with and the members, and I am very happy to be staying!! So it'll be another fun transfer! I'll be staying here till the end of March, and then we'll see what happens from there!

But this week was good! Honestly, I forget what happened.... let's see... Oh! it was Valentines this week!! So we made a bunch of valentine's and handed them out to everyone! It was fun to give a little bit of love to all these people! They were so appreciative and it was fun to just share God's love! And we got to see some people that we haven't been able to see in a while.

One kinda crazy story though, so we were walking to this one person's house in an apartment complex. Then we saw a little kid, maybe 1 year old, walking around. We didn't see an adult around and he wasn't wearing a jacket and it was pretty cold... so we walked up to him and no one was there. So we walked around trying to find someone, and this one guy walking his dog noticed a door was open, so we went to ask them. She came running out and was terrified. But it was so sad... the little kid was so cold, and I just wanted to hold him, but we couldn't cause of liability things... and on that subject, so we can't hold kids as missionaries. So the other night I had a dream where someone handed me a baby and I dropped it, cause I forgot how to hold a baby, haha! It's funny to see how your dreams change into what you are doing. I guess I've just been a missionary too long.

Also this week, we got to continue to visit all the lovely people we are working with! We are working mostly with a lot of kids, which are SO fun to teach! and also with a lot of older couples! I love them all so much! I never thought that I could actually find all these amazing people and feel such a great love for people I have only known for 3 months! But it has been great!

One crazy Spanish story... So we were going to visit Ana and her daughter Deanna, but they had just moved. So they sent the address, but it did not show up in the maps... so we called Ana, and she proceeded to give us directions, but it was not the best directions... and it was in Spanish... and it was night and raining, so it was just a lot of bad things getting mixed together... so I could not understand what she was saying and we could not figure it out... so after that moment of feeling really bad about my Spanish, we met up at a gas station and I followed her back. Fun times...

Also the exciting thing, there is a new rule, so I got to call home today! I can now call my family every Monday! It's crazy, but nice! It'll be fun to be able to share my experiences with them as I continue on my missionary path!
