Hey mom!!
Well another week has FLOWN by. This week we had 2 exchanges and other normal parts of missionary work, so it was just very busy!!
The first exchange was with Sister Abbott. It was my first exchange that I have been in charge of as a sister training leader, so that was kinda scary... but also I love Sister Abbott, so it was super easy! And it was cool to be in Orland, but doing the English work! We got to do a lot of service which was really fun and we got to meet some cool people!! It was a great time getting to be with sister Abbott for the day, and we got a lot done!
The other exchange was on Saturday, and that was with Sister Gray! She is down in downtown Chico, so that was a different setting than I was used to, but it was fun! We mostly just went out talking to a bunch of different people all day and trying to find people. We went to the smallest town ever, named Dayton. It has like 3 roads and that is it... but it was a fun time! We ran into some cool people there! And then a member ended up giving us tri-tip for dinner! It is SO GOOD!! I had never heard of tri-tip before I came out here, but let me tell you it is GOOD!!! It's a cut of beef, and it is just so yummy 10/10 I would recommend. And I realize I just spent like 4 sentence talking about tri-tip, but it is just that good. Like really.
But other than those exchanges, it was a pretty regular week! The most memorable part was probably Wednesday night. We met up with Antonio and Linda, and they are just awesome. They are the cutest old little Mexican couple. Usually we try going over and it just doesn't work out and Antonio ends up talking the whole time. Which is great, cause I love talking with Antonio, but he gets sidetracked easily, ha ha. But this time, we actually got a lesson in and it was great! You could see they have a desire to know more and to learn, and it was so awesome!
Also, I as feeling kinda sick this week... and I did not want that. no gracias!! so I told myself that I don't get sick, and then I ate 6 oranges for dinner, and then I was better! So if you start to feel stuffed up, just eat a bunch of oranges and it'll fix everything!
the Superbowl was also yesterday. It was sad to not watch it, but from the sounds of it I didn't miss too much. But we were out walking around contacting various people, and then we ran into these 2 guys invited us to watch the Superbowl with them. But we were just like oh, we have other plans... kinda sketchy to have random people invite you to watch the Superbowl, but it was tempting! As I write it out it sounds like a lame story, but it was funnier in the moment... idk I can take a pity laugh.
But yeah that was the week!! Pretty busy, but that's just the life of a missionary! and the life of an everyone....
I hope you have a great week this week and that you can stay warm!! Love you and miss you!!
