Week 9 Chico/Orland CA

Hey mom!!

That was nice of Souderton ward to make cookies! That's a fun picture too! And speaking of cookies, we did get your package! So thank you very much!! We were super excited to get that! Also, so funny story. I accidentally told you the wrong address... I said apartment b, but I am actually apartment a. It doesn't matter too much tho, cause the sisters live in b and we are over there a bit anyway. But they saw a big package on their doorstep and then it was for me, haha! But thank you very much! Hermana Carter had never had girl scout cookies before!

Also, and then you can know about how my week went. So I think I toold you a while back that I was going to send a Book of Mormon to Daniel. Well I did! and he got it! and he says he is reading it! he also said that he doesn't believe that it is inspired word of God. But at least he is reading it! So yeah, that's my exciting news. He is a great friend that I think would really enjoy the gospel. And I am still writing Olivia every week, and she is SO supportive and happy and it's awesome! I sent her the different light the world things, and she said that she did them each week! So that's pretty exciting! and Rory emails me every so often. So I'll usually write him, and then hear from him like once every one or two months. but yeah, that's the rundown on my friends.

Ok, sorry for the long intro. It'll probs be longer than my week... sorry!

Well I don't really know what to say for this week. I honestly don't remember most of what happened...

I guess we'll start here. On Thursday we had MLC which is the Mission Leadership Conference, so I got to go down to Gridley for that! So we got to see some of the Hermanas which was fun! Hermana Carter was down there while I was at the conference. It was a good time though! We talked about how we can help the other missionaries around us. It was really good though! And I got to hang out with Hermana Rich, which was super fun! I love her... But probably one of my favorite parts of MLC is that they had homemade cinnabuns there. DANG those things were good!!

But the night before it was kinda fun, cause we got to sleep over at the Chico sister's house! So basically Hermana Carter and I are like never home. We kinda just hope around and sleep where ever. At least recently, haha! But it's a fun time! I kinda spilt candle wax all over their floor on accident... whoops. Maybe they won't want us back any time soon, haha!

We also had interviews this week, so we got to see president again! And we called him in the middle of the week. So basically we spent a lot of time with him, which is great!

We also found some new people to teach this week which was awesome! One was named Maria, and she lives in Red Bluff. Its pretty far from where we live, but it was a good road trip! And she is super cool and has an awesome family! We also started teaching a little boy named Matthew! He is the grandson of one of the new members, and he is fun! He loves minecraft, so we bonded over that a bit (thanks Lathen for giving me that knowledge). But at the end of the night I asked him if we could be friends, and he said yes!!! So I now have a new friend! :D

This week we also had a dinner with the Spanish people in the stake. We are trying to see if we can make it into a branch, cause right now all we have is a group. But it was a good dinner! LOTS of good food (I felt like my tummy was gonna EXPLODE #worthit). But what was even better was there were so many Spanish people!! It made me SO happy!! And it was crazy cause we were all just kinda talking in Spanish and English and I could understand both! That part really just blows my mind sometimes... A white girl speaking Spanish. What a life.

Well, that's about all I can remember... I'm sorry I wasn't more exciting this week... I'll try to do something fun to spice it up next week! Oh, one more thing! Hermana Carter and I bought some seeds!! So hopefully we will soon have a garden and eat food that I grew myself!! Hopefully we don't poison ourselves... dollar store seeds are quality right??
