Week 5 Chico/Orland CA

Hey mom!!

It does just feel like we talked... but hey it was great to talk with you! Sorry I don' have too much time today... Also, did you hear the news about us being able to wear dress pants?

Well this week was a fun week, and a long one... I can't believe that Christmas Eve was a week ago... But it was fun!

Last week for Christmas Eve tho we went over to the Sutherland's for dinner!! It was so fun! They are so cute! We wore our matching reindeer dresses and everyone got a kick out of that!

And then Christmas morning!! We all slept in the living room with the other hermanas and it was a fun time! We woke up and did Christmas together and it was a good time! The other exciting thing we did that way was that I got to talk to you guys!! It was so great to be able to talk with y'all! It was fun to be able to see you guys all again! So that was a big fun part of Christmas! and we also had dinner at a family's house and it was SO GOOD!! I left nice and fat, haha!

But probably the part of Christmas that was so awesome happened that night. We had just visited some people we were teaching, and we were driving down the street to go home. Then there was this lady wheeling around in a wheel chair and we decided to stop and see if she needed anything. So we went to talk to her and told her bout the bishop storehouse where she can get food. She didn't really have anywhere to go, and we just wanted to help her but there wasn't really any way. So all I could do was give her a big hug and tell her that I loved her and that God loved her. It was such a sweet moment! We also decided to run to 7eleven and get her some water, hot chocolate, and granola bars. She was so appreciative, and it was just so awesome to be able to share the little it that we could. In that moment I could feel God's love for her so strong! And to have the opportunity to serve her was so awesome. It helped me to feel the true Christmas spirit, and it was so awesome!

But the rest of the week just kinda passed by in a blur... it was rough cause after Christmas everyone was cancelling lessons with us and it was hard. But we did get to visit Linda and Antonio, a cute Spanish couple in Chico. We went over the day after, and they made us flan and guacamole cause they didn't get to spend Christmas with us. It was so sweet!

The other highlight of the week is that we went back to Gridley! Just for a day, but it was fun to be there! It was like going back to places that I know. It was fun! And fun to see some of the other Hermanas!

Sorry I didn't write a lot... we got kinda busy today... We had to buy pants, cause now sister missionaries are allowed to wear dress slacks! That'll be weird... not too sure how I feel about that, but it'll be fun!
