Week 5 Gridley CA

Hey mom!!

Sorry I'm so late in emailing...I played bball for quite some time.  It gotta show the Elders whats up.

Well my week was pretty good! We had a lot going on. On Tuesday we had exchanges, which means I switch companions with another pair of Sisters in another area. So I had Sister Petonio and Sister Eppich come down with me for the day. It was super fun! We exchanged Monday night, so that was low key like a sleep over except, we went to bed at 10:30... but it was still a good time! its fun to get to know other hermanas! And they are super nice. I've met them briefly over skype, so it was fun to know them better. It was kinda scary though, cause I had to lead the area, which means I was in charge... I didn't feel ready to be in charge of everything yet, but it was fun and I actually wasn't as bad as I thought. Everything hasn't burnt down in terms of missionary work, so that was good. But yeah that was a fun time. And we got to eat dinner at Casa Lupe, which has a really good Mexican deli. i got a freakin huge burrito and it was soooooo good. sorry for talking about food again, but its the truth.

Wednesday we had a zone meeting, which means we got together with the other missionaries within a 1 hour radius and had a meeting. it was from like 9 to 5, so it was long, but it was really good! I love being with the other missionaries! And my mission president. he is super awesome. but they basically just counseled us on how we can better our efforts and how we can help improve ourselves as well as the people we are teaching. but it was really good. I had to give a 5 min talk again, in Spanish, but that was a good time. zone conference was awesome! and I got to see Hermana Petonion and Eppich again!

That night when we got home though we had dinner with a couple in the church an they are so awesome. they are the Ormes. Sister Ormes texted us to see what we wanted for dinner and we gave her 2 options, but instead of picking one she made both! So we were very stuffedafter that and we stayed for like 2 hours, but it was a good time!

The next day we had dinner with the Cejas, like everything Thursday I was talking with brother Ceja, a lot. But the sad part was I did not understand like 52% of what he was saying, but I could get the jist and it was a good time! and he has a hard accent, so I was glad I could understand that much.

But yeah we visited some more people, did lots of studies, and planned some things. It was a good week! But then Sunday came which is always one of my favorite days. To start the day, I sewed on a button. That was pretty exciting. Look at me. But Sunday is great cause church!! I love that it's all in Spanish and I love getting to talk  all the members!! I definitely feel like they re my fam and its great! In relief society, the women's class, we celebrated the birthday of mamacita! she is the mom to one of the women, and she is 92 and she is soooooo cute!! Like we started singing happy birthday and we said her name and she was so stoked, like me?? its my birthday? and we told her like 3 times. but she is so great.

But yeah the week was good!! sorry for all the typos... but if you think its hard to figure out typos in English, try in Spanish... they are not very good at texting... but oh well!!

Also I'm sad cause this Saturday starts college football season... rip... its the first Boise State game I've missed in 5ever... but that's OK. They'll still rock it without their number one fan. I'll be cheering them on in my heart.

love and miss you!! have a great week!
